Authors upload a manuscript and a cast of readers moves through it chapter by chapter, then writes back about how it felt.
01 / The need
Writers need honest reactions from someone who has read the whole draft, in order, without knowing what happens next. Human beta readers are slow to find and slower to finish.
02 / What we built
Manuscript upload for DOCX, EPUB, and TXT, split into chapters.
Reader personas that work through the book in sequence and keep track of what they wondered, what confused them, and what paid off.
A free reader letter, a paid full report, and reader panels that show where readers agree and disagree.
Revision uploads that compare how the same reader felt about each draft.
03 / Under the hood
Reading runs as queued background work, one chapter at a time, with retries and a dead-letter path.
Stripe webhooks are signed and idempotent. A browser redirect never grants access.
Uploads are checked by file signature and unzipped within fixed limits.
Every reader run records the model, prompt, and persona it used, and a regression harness checks that readers do not leak later chapters.
